There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Boca (6-3) lost to ninth ranked Obera (7-6) in Buenos Aires 73-86 on Saturday. The winners were led by American guard Melvin Johnson (193-93, college: VCU) who scored that evening 26 points and 5 assists and the former international point guard Nicolas De los Santos (180-88) supported him with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists by international point guard Leandro Vildoza (180-94) did not help to save the game for Boca. Dominican center Eloy Vargas (211-88, college: Kentucky, agency: Duran International) added 16 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Obera moved-up to seventh place. Loser Boca dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. Obera will meet Obras (#14) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Boca will play against the league's leader Quimsa (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
