Liga Superior top team - Lincoln (9-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed ninth ranked Marlins (3-7) 79-37. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Marlins. Lincoln dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Marlins' 24. Lincoln forced 23 Marlins turnovers and outrebounded them 48-31 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was a great evening for Alejandra Menendez (175-0) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Camila Lima (172-3) helped adding 14 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Valeria Cornejo (169-7) responded with 9 points and 7 rebounds and Valeria Murcia scored 4 points and 7 rebounds. Marlins' coach already knew that her team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Lincoln have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-0 record. Marlins at the other side keep the ninth position with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
