A very close game took place in Montevideo (derby !!!) between Penarol and Nacional. Eighth ranked Penarol (7-5) got a very close victory on the road over 9th ranked Nacional (5-7). Penarol managed to escape with a 1-point win 76-75 on Friday evening. The best player for the winners was American John Flowers (200-89, college: WVU) who scored 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international guard Salvador Zanotta (185-95) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. Penarol's coach Pablo Lopez used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Quincy Miller-Scott (206-92, college: Baylor) produced 22 points and 7 rebounds and Central African-American power forward Johndre Jefferson (207-88, college: S.Carolina, agency: Inception Sports) added 15 points and 13 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The victory was the third consecutive win for Penarol. They moved-up to sixth place. Nacional lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with seven games lost.
