Regular Season Round 7: Nacional - Quimsa 91-81

An interesting game for Uruguayan Nacional (1-3) which hosted in Montevideo their biggest opponent Argentinian Quimsa (1-3). Third ranked Nacional managed to get a 10-point victory 91-81. The hosts were ahead by 9 points but lost the second period ending it with a 4-point deficit before their 25-11 run, which allowed them to win the game. Nacional dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Quimsa's 40 and made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American Dominique Morrison (198-89, college: ORU, agency: Haylett Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 42 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Quincy Miller-Scott (206-92, college: Baylor) helped adding 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side American power forward Eric Anderson (204-93, college: New Haven, agency: Duran International) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Juan Brussino (185-91) scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Quimsa players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nacional maintains third place in Group B with 1-3 record behind leader Santurce. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
