Another exciting game was again a derby between two local teams from Montevideo: Malvin (#6) and Penarol (#5). Malvin (14-10) won against visiting Penarol (15-9) 84-70. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Penarol. Malvin made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game, while Penarol only scored four points from the stripe. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Juan Santiso (185-1994) who scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international swingman Nicola Pomoli (195-1999) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists. Five Malvin players scored in double figures. The former international forward Martin Aguilera (195-1987, agency: Pro Sports) produced 21 points and 5 rebounds and the former international Nicolas Borsellino (202-1986, agency: Pro Sports) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests.
