The game between Top Four teams took place in Santa Tecla. 3rd ranked host Santa Tecla (4-2) lost to second ranked San Salvador (6-1) 88-83. San Salvador made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Strangely Santa Tecla outrebounded San Salvador 57-41 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Marc Montavious (206-1990, college: Georgetown, KY) who helped to win the game recording 9 points, 17 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks and Panamanian Alejandro Scantelbury (199-1993) who added 25 points during the contest. Four San Salvador players scored in double figures. Dominican guard Jose Liriano (189-1998) responded with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and Colombian Michaell Jackson (190-1987) produced a double-double by scoring 30 points and 15 rebounds. San Salvador have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Defending champion Santa Tecla keeps the third place with two games lost. They share the position with Brujos. San Salvador are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Chalchuapa (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Santa Tecla will have a break next round.
