The game in Nejapa was also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked Fantasmas (4-4) played at the court of 8th ranked Nejapa (2-5). Fantasmas defeated Nejapa 105-90. Fantasmas players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Cuban point guard Osmel Oliva (180-1987) who led the winners and scored 38 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 5 assists. American JaCarre Crockett (192-1996, college: Philander Smith) accounted for 30 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Four Fantasmas players scored in double figures. American forward Telvin Gabriel (198-1994, college: Lander) came up with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import Marcus Faison (196-1994, college: Salem St.) added 22 points, 18 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for Nejapa in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory Fantasmas went down to sixth position due to points difference. Nejapa at the other side keeps the eighth place with five games lost. Fantasmas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nejapa will play against Santiagueno (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
