Rather predictable result when seventh ranked Santa Ana (4-6) won against on the road 9th ranked Nejapa (2-7) 102-89 on Wednesday. Santa Ana looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Santa Ana made 8 blocks. It was a very good performance for Panamanian Jonathan King (193-1990, college: ACU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Irving Sandoval (180-1988) contributed with 29 points for the winners. Nejapa lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with seven games lost. They share it with Chalchuapa. Santa Ana are looking forward to face higher ranked Brujos (#4) in Izalco in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nejapa will play at home against Santa Tecla (#3) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
