Regular Season Round 21: Los Leones - Valdivia 77-75

A very close game took place in Quilpue between Los Leones and Deportivo Valdivia. Third ranked Los Leones (13-6) got a very close home victory over 7th ranked Deportivo Valdivia (10-8). Los Leones managed to escape with a 2-point win 77-75 on Sunday evening. The former international forward Darrol Jones (193-1994) nailed 35 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and the former international guard Barham Amor (185-1996) accounted for 13 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. American forward Cameron Naylor (202-1994, college: Texas St.) came up with 31 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Panamanian-Mexican Gabriel Giron (192-1988) added 20 points respectively for Deportivo Valdivia in the defeat. Los Leones maintains third place with 13-6 record having just two points less than leader UdeC. Deportivo Valdivia at the other side keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. They share it with Ancud. Los Leones will meet at home league's second-placed Puerto Varas in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Deportivo Valdivia will play against Castro (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
