Piratas recorded a loss in Guaynabo. Visitors were rolled over by Mets 100-71. Mets dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Piratas' 36. Mets had a 26-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American forward Ben Moore (203-1995, college: SMU) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import center Zachary Hankins (211-1996, college: Xavier) supported him with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks. Even 18 points by the former international forward Carlos Emory (196-1991) did not help to save the game for Piratas. American Thomas Robinson (208-1991, college: Kansas) added 13 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mets will play against Capitanes in Arecibo in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Piratas will play at home against Indios and hope to get back on the winning track.
