Important game to mention about took place in Fajardo. Cariduros (3-0) saved a 3-point victory at home edging Gigantes (0-2) 84-81 on Sunday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Cariduros made 23-of-29 charity shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Gigantes were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for international forward Emmanuel Andujar (197-1993, college: Manhattan) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. American Earl Clark (208-1988, college: Louisville) accounted for 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Cariduros players scored in double figures. American guard Jordan Crawford (193-1988, college: Xavier) came up with 26 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import point guard Tremont Waters (180-1998, college: LSU) added 14 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals respectively for Gigantes in the defeat. Gigantes' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cariduros will play against Leones (#3) in Juana Diaz in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Gigantes will play at home against Grises and hope to get finally their first victory.
