No shocking result in a game in San German where second ranked Piratas (4-1) defeated 4th ranked Atleticos (1-3) 62-55 on Tuesday. Worth to mention a great performance of American Thomas Robinson (208-1991, college: Kansas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and Fabian Rivera who added 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side international forward Jose Rodriguez (201-1992, college: Texas Southern) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and American point guard Tjader Fernandez (178-1994) scored 2 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Atleticos' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Piratas used an opportunity after Ponce lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Atleticos lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. They share the position with Guaynabo. Piratas will meet at home Capitanes (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Atleticos will play against Cangrejeros in Santurce and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
