Regular Season Round 19: Fantasmas - Chalchuapa 98-79

Very expected game when 11th ranked Chalchuapa (2-13) was smashed by sixth ranked Fantasmas (6-9) in San Vicente 98-79 on Sunday. Fantasmas outrebounded Chalchuapa 53-39 including a 40-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Cuban point guard Osmel Oliva (180-1987) who led the winners with a triple-double by scoring 28 points, 14 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals (made all of his nine free throws !!!). American forward Ron Lawton (196-1995, college: NMHU) accounted for 21 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Five Fantasmas players scored in double figures. American Gorg Alhag (190-1997, college: Mayville St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists and Erick Rojas (183-1996) added 32 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Chalchuapa in the defeat. Fantasmas maintains sixth place with 6-9 record. Loser Chalchuapa stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
