Important game to mention about took place in Fajardo. First ranked Cariduros (4-1) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 3rd ranked Cangrejeros (3-4) 91-88 on Tuesday evening. Cariduros outrebounded Cangrejeros 46-34 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Davon Jefferson (203-1986, college: USC) notched a double-double by scoring 28 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and international forward Emmanuel Andujar (197-1993, college: Manhattan) supported him with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Even 24 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists by the former international point guard JJ Barea (183-1984, college: Northeastern) did not help to save the game for Cangrejeros. International guard Gian Clavell (193-1993, college: Colorado St., agency: Octagon Europe) added 10 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Cariduros maintains first position with 4-1 record. Cangrejeros at the other side keep the third place with four games lost. Cariduros will play against Mets (#5) in Guaynabo in the next round. Cangrejeros will play at home against the league's leader Leones and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
