Important game to mention about took place in Juana Diaz. Fourth ranked Cangrejeros (4-4) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging leader Leones (6-2) 81-79 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Leones. Cangrejeros players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Haitian forward Skal Labissiere (211-1996, college: Kentucky) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. International guard Gian Clavell (193-1993, college: Colorado St., agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Cangrejeros players scored in double figures. The former international guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-1991, agency: Interperformances) answered with 20 points and 5 rebounds and American center Marvin Jones (213-1993, college: Texas Southern, agency: Network Sports International) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Leones. Leones' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cangrejeros moved-up to third place, which they share with Arecibo. Leones at the other side dropped to the second position with two games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
