No shocking result in a game when Adelitas beat Halcones in Chihuahua 56-51 on Thursday. Naturalized American point guard Hazel Ramirez (165-1992, college: LMU) notched 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and American center Danielle Adams (185-1989, college: Texas A&M) supported her with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Even a double-double of 17 points and 15 rebounds by American swingman Jordan Reynolds (180-1995, college: Tennessee) did not help to save the game for Halcones. The former international point guard Paola Beltran (164-1994) added 15 points for the guests. Adelitas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Halcones will play against Fuerza Regia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
