Regular Season Round 8: Quebradillas - Guayama 82-81

Fifth-ranked Brujos (2-5) were very close to win a game against first ranked Piratas (7-1) in Quebradillas. Piratas managed to secure only one-point victory 82-81. However their fans expected much easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of American Thomas Robinson (208-1991, college: Kansas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 20 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international forward Carlos Emory (196-1991) who added 21 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Naturalized American swingman Jahvari Josiah (193-1993, college: Coppin St., agency: Green Sports Management) responded with 23 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Terrico White (196-1990, college: Ole Miss) scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. Five Piratas and four Brujos players scored in double figures. Piratas have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-1 record. Brujos lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with five games lost. Piratas will play against Cangrejeros (#4) in Santurce in the next round. Brujos will play at home against Atleticos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
