Regular Season Round 24: Fantasmas - Nejapa 105-92

There was no surprise in San Vicente where 10th ranked Nejapa (3-13) was defeated by sixth ranked Fantasmas (7-11) 105-92. Fantasmas players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for Henry Sherrod who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. American forward Ron Lawton (196-1995, college: NMHU) contributed with 30 points for the winners. Spencer Grand replied with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and Eder Paiz (179-2000) added 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Nejapa. Five Fantasmas and four Nejapa players scored in double figures. Fantasmas maintains sixth position with 7-11 record, which they share with Santiagueno. Nejapa lost eleventh consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with 13 games lost. Fantasmas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nejapa will play on the road against the league's leader San Salvador (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
