Regular Season Round 13: Fajardo - Santurce 81-90

Another exciting game was played in Fajardo between third ranked Cangrejeros and their biggest opponent Cariduros where Cangrejeros (7-7) beat Cariduros (6-8) on the road 90-81. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Cangrejeros made 19-of-21 charity shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Mali power forward Cheick Diallo (206-1996, college: Kansas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds. The former international guard Isaac Sosa Carrion (191-1990, college: Canisius) contributed with 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Alexander Abreu (179-1991, college: UWG) answered with 23 points and 7 assists and American power forward Terrence Jones (206-1992, college: Kentucky) added 23 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Cariduros. Five Cangrejeros and four Cariduros players scored in double figures. Cariduros' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cangrejeros moved-up to second place. Cariduros at the other side dropped to the third position with eight games lost. Cangrejeros will play against league's leader Vaqueros in Bayamon in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cariduros will play on the road against Brujos in Guayama and hope to get back on the winning track.
