Regular Season Round 15: Fajardo - Quebradillas 61-77

The game between Top Four teams took place in Fajardo. 4th placed host Cariduros (8-9) lost to second ranked Piratas (12-6) 77-61. Piratas players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward Carlos Emory (196-1991) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. Naturalized American forward Phillip Wheeler (204-2002) accounted for 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. American power forward Terrence Jones (206-1992, college: Kentucky) came up with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international Alexander Abreu (179-1991, college: UWG) added 14 points and 5 assists respectively for Cariduros in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Piratas keep a position of league leader, which they share with Ponce. Cariduros at the other side dropped to the second place with nine games lost. They share the position with Santurce. Piratas will play against league's leader Vaqueros in Bayamon in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cariduros will play at home against Capitanes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
