Salvadorenas recorded a loss in Santa Tecla on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by San Marcos 57-42. San Marcos forced 19 Salvadorenas turnovers. The best player for the winners was Alicia Abarca (165-1997) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 18 rebounds. Amalia Velasquez (160-1993) chipped in 21 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Center Luz Garcia (171-2004) produced 8 points and 12 rebounds and guard Angie Ayala (158-2007) added 12 points respectively for the hosts. Salvadorenas' coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. San Marcos are looking forward to face Santa Tecla at home in the next round. Salvadorenas' supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Santa Tecla to the arena Teclenas.
