We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Guaynabo where 3rd placed Cangrejeros (10-11) were defeated by fourth ranked Mets (9-11) 103-94 on Wednesday. Mets looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Naturalized American guard Kyle Vinales (188-1992, college: CCSU, agency: Inception Sports) stepped up and scored 27 points and 5 assists for the winners and American forward Ben Moore (203-1995, college: SMU) chipped in 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international point guard JJ Barea (183-1984, college: Northeastern) responded with 22 points and 8 assists and Mali power forward Cheick Diallo (206-1996, college: Kansas) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Five Mets and four Cangrejeros players scored in double figures. Cangrejeros' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Mets maintains fourth place with 9-11 record. Loser Cangrejeros keep the third position with 11 games lost. Mets will meet league's second-placed Cariduros in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cangrejeros will play against the league's second-placed Cariduros and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
