The most exciting game of round 18 in the BSN took place in Santurce. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of second-best Cangrejeros (12-11) to first ranked Vaqueros (16-6) 89-87 in the game for the first place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cangrejeros. The former international Javier Mojica (189-1984, college: CCSU) scored 25 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American power forward Dewan Hernandez (211-1997, college: Miami, FL) chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Mali power forward Cheick Diallo (206-1996, college: Kansas) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 17 rebounds and international guard Gian Clavell (193-1993, college: Colorado St., agency: Octagon Europe) scored 25 points. Four Vaqueros and five Cangrejeros players scored in double figures. Vaqueros have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-6 record. Cangrejeros at the other side keep the second place with 11 games lost. Vaqueros are looking forward to face Grises (#6) in Humacao in the next round where they are favorite. Cangrejeros will play at home against Mets (#5) and are hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
