Rather predictable result when tenth ranked Algodoneras (7-17) won against 12th ranked Lenadoras (5-19) in Comarca 61-56 on Sunday. Algodoneras forced 19 Lenadoras turnovers. The winners were led by point guard Claudia Mejia (164-1996) who scored that evening 15 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and power forward Vania Martinez (181-1996) supported her with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Even 17 points and 5 rebounds by American guard Kala Green (175-1996, college: NC A&T) did not help to save the game for Lenadoras. Her fellow American import forward Shamika Singleton (185-1989, college: Concordia, TX) added 12 points and 6 rebounds for lost side.
