The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Vaqueros (17-7) in Guaynabo on Thursday night. Visitors were defeated by third ranked Mets (11-14) 90-83. Mets dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Vaqueros' 38. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American forward Ben Moore (203-1995, college: SMU) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Naturalized American guard Kyle Vinales (188-1992, college: CCSU, agency: Inception Sports) contributed with 12 points and 7 assists for the winners. Five Mets players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Angel Rodriguez (180-1992, college: Miami, FL) replied with 21 points and 6 assists and American power forward Dewan Hernandez (211-1997, college: Miami, FL) added 22 points and 4 blocks (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) in the effort for Vaqueros. Despite that victory Mets went down to fourth position due to points difference. Vaqueros at the other side still keep top place with seven games lost. Mets are looking forward to face Atleticos (#5) in San German in the next round. Vaqueros will play on the road against Grises (#6) in Humacao and are hoping to win this game.
