Regular Season Round 14: Plateras - Fuerza Regia 91-107

An interesting game for Fuerza Regia (11-3) which played road game in Fresnillo against 4th ranked Plateras (2-13). Second ranked Fuerza Regia had an easy win 107-91. Fuerza Regia made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Fuerza Regia outrebounded Plateras 44-29 including 33 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. American players dominated the game. Center Khaalia Hillsman (197-1996, college: Texas A&M) orchestrated the victory by scoring 31 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Amber Ramirez (175-1998, college: Arkansas) contributed with 24 points for the winners. Forward Kamilah Jackson (183-1992, college: Hawaii) replied with 29 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and center Khadija Brown (190, college: UAPB) added 29 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Plateras. Five Fuerza Regia and four Plateras players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fuerza Regia have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 11-3 record behind leader Libertadores. Plateras lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 13 games lost. Fuerza Regia will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Plateras will play again at home against the league's second-placed Fuerza Regia (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
