Rather predictable result in Guayama where third ranked Mets (11-14) defeated 6th ranked Brujos (8-17) 92-87 on Saturday. Mets looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was naturalized American guard Kyle Vinales (188-1992, college: CCSU, agency: Inception Sports) who scored 23 points and 4 assists. American forward Ben Moore (203-1995, college: SMU) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists. Four Mets players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Josh Perkins (191-1995, college: Gonzaga, agency: Slash Sports) who recorded 30 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import power forward Ben McCauley (206-1986, college: NC State) added 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Despite that victory Mets went down to fourth position due to points difference. Loser Brujos keep the sixth place with 17 games lost. Mets will meet league's leader Vaqueros in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Brujos will play against Indios (#4) in Mayaguez and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
