A very close game took place in Santo Domingo between Reales and Soles. Sixth ranked Reales (5-5) got a very close victory on the road over 3rd ranked Soles (6-5). Reales managed to escape with a 3-point win 73-70 on Wednesday evening. Angel Delgado (208-1994, college: Seton Hall) notched a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and Rigoberto Mendoza (190-1992) supported him with 19 points. Even 21 points and 6 rebounds by naturalized American Gerardo Suero (196-1989, college: Albany) did not help to save the game for Soles. American Tim Bond (201-1995, college: EMU) added 10 points and 9 assists for lost side. Five Reales and four Soles players scored in double figures. Soles' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Reales moved-up to fifth place. Loser Soles keep the third position with five games lost. They share it with Indios. Reales will meet at home Metros (#7) in the next round. Soles will have a break next round.
