Regular Season Round 11: Reales - Metros 87-100

Very significant was Metros' (#5) 100-87 road victory against 6th ranked Reales. Metros dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Reales' 40 and made 21-of-27 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Metros players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for center Eloy Vargas (211-1988, college: Kentucky, agency: BIG) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). American Brandon Moss (208, college: LSUA) accounted for 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Metros' coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Steve Taylor Jr (206-1993, college: Toledo) came up with 22 points and 7 rebounds and Angel Delgado (208-1994, college: Seton Hall) added 25 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Reales in the defeat. Five Metros and four Reales players scored in double figures. Metros maintains fifth place with 6-6 record. Reales at the other side keep the sixth position with seven games lost. They share it with Marineros. Metros will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Reales will play on the road against the league's second-placed Titanes (#2) in San Cristobal and hope to get back on the winning track.
