Ninth-ranked Salvadorenas (2-3) gave a tough game to leader FAS (10-0) on Saturday. FAS managed to secure only one-point victory 43-42. However their fans expected much easier game. FAS forced 25 Salvadorenas turnovers. It was a great evening for center Silvia Vega (176-2003) who led her team to a victory scoring 16 points and 8 rebounds. Center Norma Duran (170-1997) helped adding 6 points and 16 rebounds. At the losing side guard Angie Ayala (158-2007) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals and forward Gabriela Alfaro (167-2004) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. FAS have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-0 record. Salvadorenas at the other side dropped to the tenth position with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
