Libertadores dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Astros' 20. They outrebounded Astros 44-26 including a 35-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Libertadores players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Lyndra Littles Weaver (185-1987, college: Virginia) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Her fellow American import guard Briahanna Jackson (168-1993, college: Louisville) contributed with 20 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 8 steals for the winners. Four Libertadores players scored in double figures. American forward Nadia Fingall (191-1998, college: Stanford) answered with 14 points and Russian forward Julia Gladkova (185-1994) added 8 points in the effort for Astros. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
