There was no surprise in Humacao where 6th ranked Grises (8-24) were crushed by fourth ranked Gigantes (14-18) 122-102 on Tuesday. Gigantes dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Grises' 30 and made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. Gigantes shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 39 assists. American guard Sheldon McClellan (196-1992, college: Miami, FL, agency: Slash Sports) scored 42 points (!!!) and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Jonathan Garcia (183-1987) chipped in 18 points and 9 assists during the contest. Gigantes' coach Carlos Gonzalez used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Kenneth Horton (201-1989, college: CCSU) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists and his fellow American import guard Gabriel Belardo (188-1989, college: FIU) scored 29 points and 4 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Gigantes maintains fourth position with 14-18 record. Grises lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 24 games lost.
