Astros held off Hermosillo in the Finals opener. Astros looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of center Matt Stainbrook (208-1992, college: Xavier) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Javion Blake (190, college: Washburn, agency: Haylett Sports) contributed with 23 points and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Jimond Ivey (196-1996, college: Akron) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and guard Terrence Drisdom (196-1992, college: CPP) added 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Rayos de Hermosillo. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
