Second Stage Round 1: Titanes - Reales 97-82

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Reales in San Cristobal. Visitors were defeated by Titanes 97-82. Titanes dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Reales' 44. Titanes forced 20 Reales turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. Point guard Richard Bautista (185-1997) nailed 16 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals for the winning side and American Keith Jordan (198-1998, college: SHU) accounted for 20 points and 7 rebounds. Four Titanes players scored in double figures. Titanes' coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Titanes will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Reales will play on the road against Soles in Santo Domingo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
