Second Stage Round 2: Leones - Marineros 110-105

Marineros recorded a loss in Santo Domingo on Thursday night. Visitors were defeated by Leones 110-105. Leones looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was Eulis Baez (201-1982, college: W.Illinois) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 20 rebounds and 7 assists. American point guard Marquis Wright (185-1995, college: Siena) chipped in 27 points and 6 assists. American swingman Trahson Burrell (201-1992, college: Memphis) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Manny Quezada added 21 points and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Leones will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Marineros will play at home against Reales and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
