Soles can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Reales (1-3) 88-82. Naturalized American Gerardo Suero (196-1989, college: Albany) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Anyeuri Castillo (201-1997, college: USC Aiken) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Soles players scored in double figures. Soles' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Naturalized American forward Antonio Pena (204-1986, college: Villanova) answered with 27 points and 9 rebounds and Angel Delgado (208-1994, college: Seton Hall) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Reales. Soles left bottom position moving up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Reales. Soles will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Reales will play on the road against Marineros (#3) in Puerto Plata and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
