The game between third ranked Titanes (2-2) and fourth ranked Marineros (2-1) was the most important one in the last round on Wednesday night. Titanes were defeated by Marineros in a tough game in San Cristobal 103-111. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Marineros shot 66.2 percent from the field and made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Marineros had a 30-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was naturalized American Malcolm Rhett (206-1992, college: Ole Miss) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Five Marineros and four Titanes players scored in double figures. Marineros moved-up to second place, which they share with Leones. Titanes at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. Marineros is looking forward to face Reales (#5) in La Vega in the next round. Titanes will play at home against the league's second-placed Leones and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
