Another exciting game for Leones (3-2) which played in San Cristobal against Titanes (2-3). Third ranked Leones saved the game by a tiny margin of one point 112-111. Titanes were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Juan Guerrero (203-1993) had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and American power forward Tony Criswell (205-1991, college: Missouri) chipped in 27 points during the contest. Criswell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was center Jose Corporan (-1988) with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 8 rebounds and 15 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and swingman Jassel Perez (195-2001) scored 29 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Titanes lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Reales. Leones will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Titanes will play again at home against the league's second-placed Leones (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
