They outrebounded Vera Cruz 54-39 including a 22-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international guard Taina Paixao (175-1991) stepped up and scored 28 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and the former international center Erika De Souza (197-1982) chipped in 16 points and 13 rebounds.
