Sampaio registered the second straight victory in the Finals. They thumped visiting Vera Cruz to stretch the lead in the title series. Sampaio dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Vera Cruz's 30. They outrebounded Vera Cruz 50-24 including a 33-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international center Erika De Souza (197-1982) had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 17 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American-Puerto Rican point guard Jennifer ONeill (165-1990, college: Kentucky, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 18 points, 5 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Four Sampaio players scored in double figures. Sampaio's coach Rodrigo Leonardo felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Emanuely De Oliveira (178-1999, college: Florida) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and the former international Izabella Sangalli (182-1995) scored 7 points and 8 rebounds.
