An interesting game for LMMR 2 (6-4) which played road game in against 4th ranked Salvadorenas 2 (2-5). Third ranked LMMR 2 managed to get a 11-point victory 70-59. LMMR 2 forced 34 Salvadorenas 2 turnovers. The winners were led by American forward Chandre Nunez (178) who scored that evening 29 points and 6 rebounds and Monica Aristondo (163-1992) supported her with 18 points and 14 steals (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Even 9 points and 4 assists by forward Gabriela Alfaro (167-2004) did not help to save the game for Salvadorenas 2. Guard Andrea Canales (162-2004) added 9 points for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. LMMR 2 maintains third position with 6-4 record having just one point less than leader San Salvador. Loser Salvadorenas 2 dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. They share the position with Santa Tecla ITD. LMMR 2 will meet bottom-ranked Santa Ana 2 (#7) in the next round. Salvadorenas 2 will play against the league's leader San Salvador and hope to secure a win.
