Liga Mayor top team - FAS Fever 2 (10-0) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Salvadorenas 2 (2-8) 95-49. FAS Fever 2 dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Salvadorenas 2's 36. FAS Fever 2 forced 24 Salvadorenas 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 52-33 including a 38-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. FAS Fever 2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Salvadorenas 2's players. Yayma Peillon nailed a double-double by scoring 31 points, 17 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winning side and Cuban Anisleidys Galindo (181-1989) accounted for 21 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Gabriela Alfaro (167-2004) came up with 12 points, 7 assists and 6 steals and Daniela Escobar (167-2007) added 11 points respectively for Salvadorenas 2 in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the tenth consecutive win for FAS Fever 2. They maintain first place with 10-0 record. Salvadorenas 2 lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with eight games lost. FAS Fever 2 will meet league's second-placed San Salvador on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Salvadorenas 2 will play against Santa Tecla ITD (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
