There was no surprise when 10th ranked Rivas (3-22) were defeated at home by third ranked Jaguares (17-8) 102-84 on Wednesday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Jaguares made 9 blocks. American-Puerto Rican forward Angel Matias (194-1992, college: Georgia South) stepped up and scored 31 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and American-Puerto Rican Wil Martinez (188-1992, college: Fairmont St.) chipped in 28 points and 4 assists. Cuban Yosniel Morales (196-1987) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Telvin Gabriel (198-1994, college: Lander) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds.
