Regular Season Round 13: Santiagueno - Santa Ana 100-90

Rather expected game in Usultan where 10th ranked Santa Ana (4-13) was defeated by eighth ranked Santiagueno (4-12) 100-90 on Saturday. Santiagueno made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Strangely Santa Ana outrebounded Santiagueno 52-40 including a 26-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. Puerto Rican point guard Ryann Abraham (182-1987, college: App State) stepped up and scored 29 points and 7 assists for the winners and American guard Joshua Jackson (195-1999) chipped in 30 points. At the losing side American swingman Shian Bradshaw (194-1995, college: Wake Tech CC) responded with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 19 rebounds and the other American import point guard Armani Chaney (178-1997, college: Tennessee St.) scored 27 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Four Santa Ana players scored in double figures. Santiagueno maintains eighth place with 4-12 record. Santa Ana lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. Santiagueno will meet higher ranked Metapan (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Santa Ana will play against San Salvador (#5) and hope to secure a win.
