Regular Season Round 11: Mineras - Pastoras 69-73

The most interesting game of round 11 was a home defeat of 3rd placed Mineras (10-6) to second ranked Pastoras (11-5) 73-69 in the game for the second place. Pastoras forced 19 Mineras turnovers. It was a great evening for the former international point guard Barbara Pico (168-2002) who led her team to a victory scoring 18 points. Javianny Cueri (-2006) helped adding 11 points and 7 rebounds. Karlis Leal (-2004) responded with 22 points and 6 rebounds and forward Lilibeth Maramara (-1996) scored 6 points and 13 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Pastoras have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 11-5 record behind leader Taurinas. Newly promoted Mineras keep the third position with six games lost. Pastoras will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Mineras will play against the league's leader Taurinas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
