Abejas topped Astros to take 2-0 lead in the championship series. Abejas outrebounded Astros 43-28 including 17 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward Tre McLean (197-1993, college: Chattanooga) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import guard Michael Smith (193-1995, college: CBU) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. Abejas' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game.
