Regular Season Round 6: Lares - Manati 70-73

The most exciting game of round 6 in the BSNF took place in Lares. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 5th ranked Lares (2-5) to top-ranked Atenienses (5-0) 73-70 on Monday evening. American swingman Kaela Davis (188-1995, college: S.Carolina) scored 31 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Kaela Hilaire (157-1998, college: Stony Brook) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Danielle McCray (185-1993, college: Ole Miss) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and Calveion Landrum scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Lares players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Atenienses have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Newly promoted Lares dropped to the sixth place with five games lost. Atenienses are looking forward to face Montaneras (#4) in Morovis in the next round. Lares will play at home against Montaneras and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
