Real Esteli outgunned Tipitapa to take 1-0 lead in the Finals. Real Esteli dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Tipitapa's 32. Real Esteli forced 21 Tipitapa turnovers and outrebounded them 64-43 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Tipitapa helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Bryennis Thomas who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. The former international center Jenny Salomon contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Clenia Salazar answered with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Cuban point guard Dairis Tornell (176-1992) added 17 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals in the effort for Tipitapa. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
