Very important is a road loss of third ranked Gimnasia CR (5-3) against thirteenth ranked Independ.O. (3-2) on Wednesday night. Visiting Gimnasia CR was edged by Independ.O. in a tough game in Olivia 66-67. It was an exceptional evening for forward Matias Bernan (196-2001) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Nicolas Marcucci (190-2002) accounted for 12 points for the winning side. Independ.O.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Guard Ramiro Stehli (190-2002) came up with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Cuban swingman Marcos Chacon (194-2003, agency: Pro Sports) added 19 points (made all of his seven free throws) respectively for Gimnasia CR in the defeat. Independ.O. have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Olimpico. Gimnasia CR at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. They share it with Atenas and Obras.
