Very predictable result when sixth ranked Cojute (10-10) rolled over on the road bottom-ranked Chalchuapa (0-20) 113-91 on Thursday. Cojute forced 20 Chalchuapa turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 40 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Chalchuapa's players. American swingman Andravious Smith (196-1995, college: Tougaloo) notched a double-double by scoring 61 points (!!!), 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort and Lee Vasquez (176-1991) supported him with 19 points, 7 rebounds, 24 assists and 4 steals. Even a double-double of 35 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field) by Jamaican-American forward Devin Thompson (199-1980, college: St.Peter's) did not help to save the game for Chalchuapa. Eleazar Herrera (195-1995) added 21 points and 13 rebounds for the hosts. Chalchuapa's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Cojute maintains sixth position with 10-10 record. Chalchuapa at the other side still closes the standings.
